My Beautiful Faraway

Church organ puzzle in My Beautiful Faraway

Quick answer

Demo code: 2215243. Install all five organ keys, play 2 → 2 → 1 → 5 → 2 → 4 → 3, then collect the church-door key from the fountain.

The church organ code in the My Beautiful Faraway demo is 2215243. Collect all five missing organ keys, install them, then play 2 → 2 → 1 → 5 → 2 → 4 → 3. The song hides seven numbers in its wording; the numbers printed beside its passages are not the melody. When the correct sequence plays, the walls shake and a large church-door key falls into the fountain.

Demo guide · Updated October 5, 2026. This page covers the church sequence shown in the public demo, not a confirmed solution for the unreleased full game.

Before entering the code

There are two separate tasks in the church: restore the instrument and work out the melody. Finding a few keys does not make the organ ready, and reading the music sheet does not automatically solve the melody. Finish the collection step first so that a failed interaction does not get mistaken for an incorrect code.

The demo identifies each collected piece as an organ key and tracks a total of five. These are parts of the instrument, not five door keys. Pick up the musical notes as well: this is the clue that explains what the repaired keyboard wants you to play. You do not need to leave the church to find another song page.

Interact with the dusty organ after collecting the fifth piece. Accept the prompt to install the keys, then accept the prompt to play. If the dialogue still tells you that keys are missing, return to the room search; repeatedly typing the melody at that stage will not replace the missing parts.

Where to look for the last missing organ key

Look above eye level, along the upper wall ledges. One of the easiest mistakes is to search the floor, pews and fountain thoroughly while never checking the room's higher surfaces. Both demo recordings used for this guide show the player looking up before completing the set; the Steam discussion about the last missing key gives the same upper-wall hint.

Use the organ as your starting landmark, then make one deliberate circuit of the room. Search nearby surfaces before moving on, and raise the camera at each wall section. A long, pale piece can blend into the stone and wood, so approach a suspected object until its interaction prompt appears instead of deciding from across the church that it is scenery.

Keep the inventory count open in your mind as you search. If it says four of five, the remaining task is one missed pickup in the church, not a new area or a second musical riddle. In the demo walkthroughs, the collection ends with the organ's installation prompt; that is a better completion check than simply feeling that you have looked everywhere.

The video checkpoint is ManlyBadassHero's church search, around 4:23. It shows the upward search immediately before the repaired-organ interaction. Treat it as a visual reference for the room, rather than an instruction to match a precise compass direction that the game does not display.

How the song becomes 2215243

Read the seven passages in their existing order and extract one number from each. Some numbers are explicit; others come from an image or an action described in the text. You are translating the meaning into the keyboard's five numbered choices, rather than reading the passage labels as notes.

PassageWhat to countKeyboard choice
FirstThe cry separates into a pair of sounds2
SecondThe bird divides into two2
ThirdA single feather appears1
FourthThe fingers on one open hand5
FifthThe number of hands needed to hold it2
SixthFour repeated attempts to reach it4
SeventhThree things disappear in sequence3

The fifth passage is a common trap. It refers to two hands, so its answer is 2, not ten fingers. The keyboard's choices stop at five, which also helps you reject a literal ten-finger interpretation. Count the unit actually named by that passage instead of applying the previous passage's unit again.

The final passage is another common stumbling block. It describes three separate losses, so the answer is 3, rather than one disappearing feather. If your attempt ends with 2215241, change the last note; that exact misunderstanding also appears during PaleMothReviews' playthrough before the successful attempt.

Enter the melody and collect the reward

  1. Confirm that all five organ pieces have been installed.
  2. Open the organ's play interaction.
  3. Enter 2, 2, 1, 5, 2, 4, 3, in that order.
  4. Watch for the message about the walls trembling and something falling from the chandelier.
  5. Return to the fountain and pick up the large church key.
  6. Take that key to the church door to continue outdoors.

The two opening notes are both 2. Do not skip the second one because it feels like a repeated input. The melody has seven notes even though the instrument offers five numbered choices; five choices and seven inputs are different counts.

Successful playback is not the final pickup. The key falls elsewhere in the room, so staying at the keyboard can make the puzzle seem complete without actually giving you the item needed to leave. Check the fountain before trying the door again.

You can reopen collected clues from the pause menu. The demo's journal discussion directs players to Esc, with inventory on the left and notes on the right. That is useful if you closed the sheet halfway through and believe you have lost access to the second part of the song.

This is not a pitch-matching challenge and does not require knowledge of real organ music. The numbered wording supplies the answer. There is also no reason to treat the missing pieces as a separate outside quest: the demo playthroughs collect the complete set before leaving the church.

After the church

The outdoor area introduces the telephone, crow, fisherman, apartment building and forest. Continue with the demo walkthrough if you want the order of those encounters. For the next substantial mechanical puzzle, use the gas pipeline and red valve guide.

The successful organ sequence can be watched in PaleMothReviews' demo at 9:15 and ManlyBadassHero's demo around 6:18. The Steam organ thread independently records the same code. These references cover the demo; a later patch or the full release may change the room or its solution.
